Fire Safety & Emergency Medical Assistance

Serving the Greater Woodburn Community Since 1901

The Woodburn Fire District was established in 1901. The district is centrally located in the Willamette Valley in Marion County and provides fire protection and advanced life support emergency medical service to 40,000 residents in a 75 square mile area that includes the communities of Woodburn, Gervais and surrounding rural areas.

The district operates four strategically located fire stations with a fifth station soon to be under construction. The district has a rapidly growing tax base and enjoys strong support from the community that provides the district firefighters with state-of-the-art equipment and fire apparatus. The fire district provides a comprehensive training program with an emphasis on the strategies, tactics and equipment recommended through the Underwriters Laboratory and NIST studies.  In 2022, the fire district responded to 3,380 emergency incidents.
