INTERNS
For more
than 20 years, Woodburn Rural Fire Protection District has offered living
space and some tuition reimbursement to firefighting program students
who, in exchange, agree to intern on a voluntary basis while attending
school.
WRFPD's
long-standing student-intern program increases emergency response capacity
during weeknight and weekend hours, while providing area firefighter
program students with real-life work experience.
Currently,
the district has eight student-interns who work alternating night and
weekend shifts.
