Woodburn
Rural Fire Protection District is led by Chief Kevin Hendricks and staffs
three alternating career-firefighter shifts, ensuring that area residents
are protected by emergency services 24-hours a day, 365-days a year.
Career firefighters respond from the Newberg Highway Headquarters Station
in Woodburn.
Nearly
40 volunteer and student-intern firefighters respond to a wide-variety
of calls for assistance as well. Volunteers
and student-interns play a vital
role in the district as primary and secondary responders, depending
on the location and time of call. Student-interns respond from Headquarters
and the James Street station in Woodburn. Volunteers are assigned to
one of the district's four stations and respond accordingly.
