Why
did you choose to run for a position on the Woodburn Fire District
Board of Directors?
I like to be involved in my community and have been involved
with emergency services for almost 18 years
as a volunteer firefighter/training officer, and now a Board
member and part-time medic with Dallas, Oregon's ambulance.
I wanted to bring my background, experience and knowledge about
emergency services to the Board to help realistically guide
overall policy-making.
What
do you think is important for the community to know about the
Woodburn Fire District?
First, that the fire district is here to answer their calls
for help. Second, that it is staffed by dedicated professional
who are both career and volunteer-paid-on-call firefighters
and medics. And third, that the Board of Directors and district
administration try to use taxpayers' money in the most useful
and efficient manner, which will benefit the most people, for
the least amount of money. |
